What is PEMF therapy for horses?

PEMF therapy for horses, also known as pulsed electromagnetic field therapy, is a type of treatment that involves the use of electromagnetic fields to promote healing in horses. It is based on the idea that electromagnetic fields can help to stimulate cell function and improve circulation, which in turn can help to reduce inflammation and promote healing.

How does PEMF therapy for horses work?

During a PEMF therapy session for horses, a device generates electromagnetic fields that are delivered to the horse's body through a series of pads or coils. These fields can penetrate the tissues and stimulate cell function, leading to improved circulation and reduced inflammation. PEMF therapy is often used to treat conditions such as arthritis, chronic pain, and healing after surgery in horses.

What conditions can PEMF therapy be used to treat in horses?

PEMF therapy has been used to treat a wide range of conditions in horses, including arthritis, chronic pain, and healing after surgery. It has also been studied for its potential to improve bone density, reduce inflammation, and improve muscle function in horses.

How do I store a HELTIE supplement?

In general, our supplements have a shelf life of about 3 years after production, at the bottom of the bottle there is a sticker with the expiry date. Always store supplements in the original packaging, tightly closed and in a dark place. A number of products are sensitive to cold and heat. Therefore, always check the label for specific storage instructions.

Are HELTI horse supplements suitable for pregnant mares?

Most of the HELTIE horse products may be given to pregnant and lactating mares. Only the Detox and Triphala we advise against using during pregnancy and lactation, or only in consultation with the vet.
